Meike Hardt is a researcher and designer based in Zurich and Berlin. She is co-founder of m—d—buero, a graphic design and design research collaboration with Daniela Rota in Zurich. Furthermore she is researching about alternative economic cultures in response to the increasingly precarious conditions in the culture and design industries. The main area of this research is located at the intersection of design with feminist, critical and political theory. Meike Hardt is interested in hybrid forms of knowledge production that connects posthumanistic perspectives and related concepts with design practices. Additional to her studio work and her own research, she is currently working for the conference: «Critical by Design? The Potentials and Limitations of Materialized Critique» as part of the research project: «Critical Artefakt» taking place at IXDM Institute of Experimental Design and Media Cultures, Academy of Art and Design in Basel. Meike Hardt used to work as an assistant at the MA Design department at the Bern University of the Arts from 2014 to 2017.
